Kivanc in Turkish Remake of The Sopranos

According to Turkish entertainment media, Kivanc Tatlitug has signed on as lead role in the new Ay Yapim series called Aile (Family). The series is a Turkish style remake of the iconic, long running American series, The Sopranos. Preparations for the series which will be directed by Ahmet Katiksız, started this week.

Tatlitug will play the role of the Aslan, a shrewd and mysterious owner of a nightclub called Volta, and the son of the large mafia family. He will be joined by Ozge Ozpirincci, his co-star in the recent Netflix series Yakamoz S-245. Ozpirincci will play the role of Devin, a psychologist who eventually becomes Aslan’s love interest. Other cast members include Canan Erguder (Oglum) in the role of Leyla and Yurdaer Ukur (Karadayi).

The series will be produced by Kerem Catay (Yargi, Icerde, Kuzey Guney) and the sound track will be composed by Toygar Isikli. The series will air on Show TV.

For Tatlitug, Aile takes the place of the series Kral Kaybederse, a project he had signed earlier this year, but which he decided against.

Stay tuned for more information about Aile and expected release dates.
