Carpisma Comes to an End

By the looks of it, Carpisma (English title, Crash), Kivanc Tatlitug’s most recent series will close with a bang with its series finale on May 30, 2019.

Here are some candid shots of the cast.

The series which aired in November of 2018 was always intended to be a single season series. The story written by Ali Aydin and directed by Uluc Bayraktar is finishing the final episode this week. Tatlitug, who is most known for his romantic lead roles in Turkish Dizis, plays the role of a tough, straight talking police commissioner who’s life is changed overnight by a tragic event. The story has all the elements of a good Turkish dizi as it explores familial relationships (good and bad), long lost loves, heinous betrayals, and of course, a sprinkling of romance. All of this starts when four people get in a 4-way car accident on a dark and gloomy night. In addition to Tatlitug, the series features young stars Alperen Duymaz (Cukur), Melisa Aslı Pamuk (Kurt Seyit ve Sura), Hakan Kurtaş, and veteran actors Elçin Sangu (Kiralik Ask, Kurt Seyit ve Sura), Onur Saylak (Asi, Gonul), Erkan Can (Kara Para Ask), Mustafa Uğurlu (Icerde) and Ali Surmeli (Servet).

All episodes of the series are available for viewing in Turkish on the official Carpisma YouTube channel. Although no U.S. streaming platforms have picked up the series yet, it is being aggressively promoted for sale by the distributor, MADD Entertainment for English and Arabic speaking audiences. The series debuted at MIPCOM Cannes ( the largest entertainment content conference) last year to rave reviews and was shown at MIPTV in Cannes in April of this year as well.

While we are sad to see the end of Carpisma, we’re looking to forward to Kivanc’s future projects. In a recent interview Kivanc indicated he is looking at a possible project for the next season, though it is too early to tell about it.
