Kivanc: The Cure for Droughtlander

Not only is Kivanc talented and beautiful, but he’s also a cure for ailments… Teddie Potter is an Outlander (Starz TV adaptation of on Diana Gabaldan’s Outlander series) fan. And while in between seasons, trying to fill the Outlander void known as Droughtlander, she ran across Kivanc’s series, Kurt Seyit ve Sura, on Netlfix. And the rest, as they say, was history. Teddie is the classic example of a “crossover fan”.. fans that find themselves smitten with two or more dramas (or actors), because of some perceived similarities between the dramas ( or actors).

In her Droughtlander blog, Teddie goes through 8 reasons why fans of Outlander will be able to find refuge in Turkish drama.. and not just any Turkish drama.. but ones with Kivanc Tatlitug as their lead actor. She cites epic love stories as in Kurt Seyit ve Sura, red-headed-or perhaps more accurately, fair haired, heroes since Kivanc is a blond.., endearing characters, complex villains, crying men, (food) porn, the large number of episodes, and the various fringe benefits such as learning about a whole new culture, as the reasons fans of Outlander would love everything Kivanc. Well, we agree! Many of us are Outlander fans too, and now we are Kivanc fantatics.

So if you’re an Outlander fan, or if you are a fan of any period drama with the above characteristics, read Teddie’s blog by clicking on the below picture.. and then come back and give Kivanc series a try, or a re-watch.
